Alvo Zero
Command Center
Última atualização: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Alvo Zero (“Alvo Zero”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal and location data when you use the Alvo Zero mobile app and website (the “Service”), which provide vehicle tracking and personal safety (SOS) features. Please read it together with our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We collect account data, precise location data (from both GPS trackers installed in vehicles and, when you allow it, your mobile device — including in the background), emergency contact information, vehicle/device telemetry, photos you upload, and technical/usage logs.
We use this data to show live vehicle location, trigger and route SOS/panic alerts, share location with the emergency contacts and groups you choose, enforce geofences, deliver notifications, process subscriptions (on the website), and keep the Service secure.
We do NOT sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Service and where required by law.
You control location sharing and can hide, pause or revoke it at any time, and you can request access to or deletion of your data.
Account & profile data: full name, email address, phone number(s), username/handle, password (stored only as a secure hash), and profile photo (avatar) if you upload one.
Vehicle & device data: license plate, vehicle details, tracker/device identifiers (e.g., IMEI), installation data, and telemetry reported by the tracker such as position, speed, course, ignition and status. Vehicle photos (avatars) you upload.
Location data — vehicle: GPS positions of your vehicles reported by the installed IoT tracker device (via our telematics provider). This is the official source of the vehicle’s location and route history.
Location data — mobile device: when you grant permission, your phone’s precise location (foreground and, if you allow “Always”, in the background). This powers personal SOS, live location sharing, showing you on the group/community map, and geofence features.
Emergency contacts & groups: the contacts, friends and groups you add, including their identifiers, and the sharing/visibility settings you choose for them.
Community & safety reports: SOS/panic events, incidents, geofence events, and community reports you create or interact with, together with the associated location.
Payment data: subscriptions are purchased only on our website and processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers. The mobile app does not sell subscriptions or process payments.
Notifications: push notification tokens (Apple Push Notification service / device push tokens) so we can deliver SOS, geofence and account alerts.
Technical, usage & diagnostic data: device and app information, log data, IP address, access records and audit logs used for security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting.
Alvo Zero is a safety and vehicle-tracking service, so location is central to how it works. We are transparent about it because your safety may depend on it.
Vehicle location: collected continuously from the tracker device installed in the vehicle (through the cellular network and our telematics provider) to provide live tracking, route history, geofence alerts and stolen-vehicle response. This does not use your phone’s battery or location.
Foreground phone location: used to show you on the map, measure distance/route to a friend who needs help, and attach your position to an SOS or community report.
BACKGROUND phone location: with your explicit “Always Allow” permission, the app may access your location while it is in the background or closed. This is used ONLY for critical safety features: (a) triggering and keeping an SOS/panic alert accurate even if your screen is off; (b) continuing an active live-location share you started; and (c) delivering geofence enter/exit alerts. You will see the standard system indicator when background location is used.
You are in control: you can grant only “While Using”, deny background access, or turn location off entirely in your device Settings at any time. If you do, safety features that rely on background location will be limited or unavailable, but the rest of the app keeps working.
We never replace the official vehicle location with your phone’s GPS, and we do not use background location for advertising or profiling.
Provide the core Service: live vehicle tracking, maps, route history, geofences and remote vehicle commands available in your plan.
Personal safety: trigger, route and manage SOS/panic alerts and live-location sharing to the contacts, groups and monitoring center you designate.
Notifications: send SOS, geofence, incident and account notifications by push, and, where applicable, email.
Billing & account management: create and manage your account and, on the website, your subscription.
Security & compliance: authenticate users, prevent abuse, keep audit logs, and comply with legal obligations.
Improve the Service: diagnose problems and improve reliability and performance.
Sharing your location with contacts or groups happens only according to the settings you choose. You can hide your location, pause sharing, or revoke a share at any time in the app.
An SOS live-share is time-limited and can be ended by you. Staff/monitoring visibility of an active SOS follows the emergency workflow and ends when the incident is resolved.
Emergency-contact search and emergency profile can be enabled or disabled by you.
We share data only with providers that help us operate the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it, and only as needed:
Telematics/tracking provider (JimiIoT / TrackSolid): to receive vehicle/tracker location and telemetry and send device commands.
Maps & geocoding (Mapbox): to render maps and compute directions/geocoding for the features you use.
Payments (Stripe): to process website subscriptions. Stripe handles your card data under its own privacy policy.
Push notifications (Apple Push Notification service and equivalent): to deliver alerts to your device.
Email/SMS and cloud hosting providers: to send messages and host the Service.
Emergency contacts, groups and monitoring center that YOU choose: they receive the location and alert data you decide to share with them.
Legal & safety: we may disclose data to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety and property of users and the public.
We do NOT sell your personal data and do NOT share it with data brokers or for third-party advertising.
We keep personal and location data for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal, accounting and security obligations. Route history and location logs may be retained according to your plan and applicable law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can request earlier deletion as described below.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of provider credentials, hashing of passwords, encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access control (RBAC), and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond to incidents.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing.
In the app you can update your profile, manage location-sharing settings, manage emergency contacts and groups, and control notification permissions in your device Settings.
Account & data deletion: you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address below. We will process the request subject to legal and contractual retention requirements.
The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We operate across regions and may process data in countries other than yours, including in connection with our service providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
For privacy questions, to exercise your rights, or to request account/data deletion, contact us at privacy@alvozero.com (or info@alvozero.com) or through the in-app support channels.
